Great read - once I got started, I couldn't put it down. I took it on a trip and was able to read it in its entirety on the round trip. This was not a subject I would normally have picked up, but I'm so glad it was recommended by a friend. I enjoyed the story immensely start to finish, and thought the depiction of time and place was very accurate. I agree with the first review - if you don't want to shake up your current thinking, this is not a book for you. It is a well written story that really challenges what I was taught from a very young age! I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.Product details

An author has more responsibility in this genre than any other. The melding of historical facts and fictional drama must be difficult. This work keeps your attention throughout.
This book is a must read! The description of the time and place were excellent, as was the story line. It was easy to follow as well as interesting from start to finish. Looking forward to more literary work by this author.
Great book!! I love reading books written in this era and the author was spot on. I read this book in one sitting which is rare for me; I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!!

Great Read. Once you start you can't put it down. Far more realistic depiction of how the Bible came to be what it is than what is told to us by existing religions. Much more believable. It will make you think about the truth of religion so don't read it if you are content with the status quo.
